It’s so funny watching her hustling around the room with her face flushed red, eyes widened, and her breath shook as anxiety swirled around her.
Funny how just seconds ago, she was hanging out with me comfortably on the couch, watching her favourite show. Though I can’t really tell whether her mind was with me or the TV.
I was amazed by her ability to shift her attention in a split second, even though her eyes have been gazing the same thing : moving images on screen. However, I never thought the screeching noise from burning kettle at the kitchen distracted her by getting on her two feet.
“Honey I can’t find it”, she sounded a bit muffled from here.
“Hey take a deep breath, we’ll find it alright”
“But I left it here when I was making our tea!!”, she yelled and moved around the living room.
“I have no idea!! It was with me all day, on the couch!”, she rolled her eyes whilst throwing all the cushion away, making it easier for me to peek in and get some air.
“Have you try to look around it?”
“Ugh!! Can you not? Why would I need you here if I haven’t tried to look for it myself??”, she sounded really annoyed while still hustling around dreadfully.
“Stay calm honey, I am sure we’ll find it”
I somehow know what she’s going to say next. Since her sloppiness is technically in her blood. If only I could speak the words loud and clear —
“Here you go. You haven’t looked at this side of the couch”
Well that was quick, I was actually waiting for my bell to ring and my body to shake. But his eyes were sharp enough to see my thin figure and his hands were long enough to slide down the bottom cushion.
“Oh my goodness. Thanks honey, how could I overlooked that side of the couch?”
Because that’s the spot you’ve been laying your lazy bum off for hours. I’ve been peeking in the whole time, no wonder you never able to figured out Where’s Wally.
The days goes on like the usual. Me and her with the TV on. Followed by a bag of chips in addition. Her husband, at the other side of the room surfing through his 13’’ screen.
I guess it would be fun when the next lost and found cycle begin, I’ll just shut my self down and wreak havoc inside the house.
